Cordoba and the Mosque day trip from Seville

The city of Córdoba, located on the banks of the Guadalquivir and at the foot of Sierra Morena, was the capital of the Bética province during the Roman Empire, as was the Caliphate of Córdoba during the Muslim era. The history of Córdoba has left us architectural wonders such as the Mosque-Cathedral, the Roman Bridge and the old Jewish Quarter, among others.

Starting from Seville, the expert guide from Naturanda will pick you up at one of the meeting points to head for the city of Carmona, a white village that deserves a short stop to admire its beauty. Here we will also take the opportunity to have a coffee and use the toilets comfortably. After this short stop, we will head towards Cordoba, where we will arrive after approximately one hour’s drive. On the way, you will be able to observe the typical Andalusian landscape, dotted with olive trees. Arriving in Córdoba, we will take a walking tour through the historic center of the city, visiting monuments as significant as the Roman Bridge that allows you to cross the Guadalquivir River as it passes through the ancient capital of the Caliphate. We will walk through the most significant streets of the city, passing through the old Jewish Quarter, the Royal Stables and the Cordoba Synagogue (closed on Mondays). We will also take a short walk through the famous and colorful Cordovan courtyards that will give us the opportunity to take wonderful photographs so we can keep the most beautiful memories of this excursion to Cordoba. After visiting the historic center of Córdoba, we will take a short break to enjoy the cuisine of Cordoba following the recommendations of our guide, or enjoy your own choice if you wish. There will also be free time in case you wish to make some purchases.
