Itinerary
We start with coffee in San Francisco and from there head south. on the way we we will see redwoods, beautiful vistas, crystal springs reservoir and probably some amazing cars. The stretch of 280 is known as the California Autobahn and it rarely disappoints for car enthusiasts. Then a demanding technical ride off the beaten path up route 84 will test your limits as rider with blind corners, ravines, and mores switchbacks in a mile and a half than you can count (seriously, try to count them). From there breakfast and watching cars and bikes from the world famous Alice’s Restaurant. On any given Sunday you can find vintage race cars to brand new Ferraris parked under the redwoods. All bikes from exotic Aprilias to Harleys are also found here. Those looking for a quick day trip can head back to SF from here. A short ride under redwood canopies and along a ridge line with water on both sides brings you back to the highway and SF in less than a half hour. Those seeking a longer ride and more can take highway route 1 back, or even go further, all the way to Santa Cruz for the day.
